Building on Dr. Stephanie S. Covington’s pioneering work, the Covington Training Institute provides evidence-based training and consultation to help organizations promote healing, equity, and empowerment. We support agencies and professionals with staff development, curriculum training, and guidance for implementing system-wide change in behavioral health, addiction treatment, and criminal justice settings.

The Covington Training Institute is the sole provider of training on Dr. Stephanie S. Covington’s gender-responsive, trauma-informed, and trauma-specific curricula. Developed through decades of research and practice, these programs address the unique needs of women, men, girls, boys, and gender-diverse individuals, particularly those seeking support for trauma, substance use, and relationship challenges.

We provide flexible training options for individuals, agencies, and systems.
Our curricula provide healing, recovery, and personal growth across diverse populations and settings.
In addition to curriculum-based training, we offer workshops, seminars, and refresher courses for behavioral health professionals, including those working with underserved and justice-involved populations.
